THE VENUE

Inspired by Hamel.
Designed for today.

The Havenfield was created to be more than a venue—it was designed to be a place where meaningful moments unfold with warmth, beauty, and intention.

Located along historic Route 66, our name is inspired by a meaningful piece of local history. In 1938, George Cassens opened a roadside restaurant to serve Route 66 travelers and drivers from his growing auto transport business. Rather than naming it himself, he invited the community to choose the name through a public contest. The winning name: Tourist Haven.

A place created to welcome people. A gathering place shaped by community. A destination rooted in hospitality.

The Havenfield carries that same spirit forward in a modern way.

The land itself tells another story. Once actively farmed, this property reflects the agricultural heritage that has long shaped this part of Madison County. That history inspired both our name and our vision—pairing the openness and timeless beauty of the field with a space intentionally designed for celebration.

Today, The Havenfield is a purpose-built wedding and event venue where historic inspiration meets modern convenience, thoughtful design, and heartfelt hospitality.

OUR COMMUNITY

This is home.

We chose this area as the place to build our life together, and over the years, it has become the place where we’re raising our family, building our future, and now creating something meaningful.

The Havenfield is being built with intention—not only in its design, but in the people helping bring it to life. From local subcontractors to community partners, we’re proud to create something rooted in the place we call home.

Our hope is to create more than a beautiful venue—we want to create a place where people gather, celebrate, and make lasting memories for years to come.

OUR STORY

Built by a family of six.

The Havenfield has been years in the making.

What began as a long-held vision eventually became something far more intentional—a plan we actively refined, pursued, and worked toward over time.

When the right opportunity finally came along, we were ready.

As a family of six, we understand just how meaningful life’s milestones can be; the weddings, reunions, celebrations, and gatherings that bring people together across generations.

Bringing The Havenfield to life has taken years of planning, research, persistence, and preparation—paired with the practical expertise, trusted local relationships, and hands-on knowledge needed to turn vision into reality.

Together, we’ve poured ourselves into creating The Havenfield from the ground up. It’s not just as a business, it’s something deeply personal.

Our hope is simple: to create a place where people are welcomed, celebrations feel effortless, and memories are made for years to come.
